Overview

Designing and testing a steady-flow device using compressed air — modeling fan blade components in SolidWorks, implementing Arduino-based data acquisition, and running thermodynamic analysis to compare measured flow with theoretical predictions.

My role

I modeled fan blades and airflow components in SolidWorks and assembled the compressed-air test rig, then implemented an Arduino-based data acquisition setup to read, convert, and record flow measurements for EES-based analysis.

The Arduino data acquisition system provided accurate flow measurements that validated our EES-based thermodynamic predictions.

Outcome

Demonstrated the integration of mechanical design, electronics, and thermodynamic theory in one working test rig, with measured data lining up against theoretical predictions.
